Curtains up....

Well curtains changed really. Seeing as summer is sort of here now I figured it must be time to take down the black out, draft stopping thick winter curtains and get something pretty up at the garden doors.

I had a good old sort of of my fabric stash the other day and remembered I bought this really cute house print cotton in Ikea, perfect size for curtains too :)

I based the pattern loosely around a pattern in Brett Bara's "Sewing in a straight line" (LOVE this book) but mostly just by eye, tab tops are pretty simple. 

They only took a couple of hours and ta dah....brand new living room....sort of ;) well Betty likes them anyways...

Mini me.....

This week I've been working on making a few of my big best sellers a lot smaller. I love how cute everything can be if you just make it smaller (seen the little Darth Vader in the Lego shop? Even he can be cute!)

After a few test runs I'm sticking with my mini bow rings....

And my new mini couds....

Local Lovelies....

I took some time out this morning to have a good scan over all of the wonderful sellers in the Brighton Based Sellers Etsy Team. I've been a team member for a while but haven't been too good about getting involved for a while due to that dull old 9-5 and not having enough of my own time.....

So I had a good old nose this morning and as well as some familiar faces whose work I love I found some new lovelies with some really gorgeous work on Etsy. 

Handmade Ceramics by Cat Brown. Specialising in stoneware clay art, home decorations, gifts and accessories.

I love these gorgeous leaf pieces, so pretty....

Being a bit of a stamper I instantly loved these gorgeous and intricate stamps made by Nula Shearing. Look how delicate and pretty they are!.....

Lastly is the beautiful prints of Snorkus Design. I've seen (and lusted after) these prints at various Brighton art and craft fairs that I've also been selling at. My rule is "no shopping when selling"....I might have to break that rule next time I spy these gorgeous cats and owls out and about :)

There were plenty more wonderful Brighton shops to choose from........I've got a loooong shopping list to make :)

Bow-tastic.....

After sitting around in my Etsy shop for a while I thought it was time to start taking my bow accessories down and then all of a sudden they are the most popular thing in there! Custom colour orders, multiple requests.....bow-tastic! maybe it's a sunshine thing?

So anyway, this weekend saw the uprising of the humble bow and expansion into rings and the giant variety! I love a good bow me..........
